On Thursday 26 March, we brought together some of the brightest minds in UK quantum technology at Harwell Campus. The energy in the room was extraordinary.
A huge thank you to every speaker and attendee who made it such a compelling morning. This is exactly the kind of dialogue that turns a technology sector into an investment category.
🔬 Gerald Mullally (CEO, Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) on superconducting qubits and the quantum-AI datacentre opportunity
⚛️ Adam Hammond (Head of IBM Quantum EMEA) on commercial use cases being deployed right now
🧬 Mark Webber (Head of Quantum Algorithms, ) on trapped ion technology and its applications in aerospace and healthcare
🏥 Alasdair Price (CEO, Siloton) on quantum sensing in healthcare, including a live device demonstration that stopped the room
We also heard from Tom Scott at Department for Science, Innovation and Technology Office for Quantum on the UK National Quantum Programme, from Najwa Sidqi, PhD and Monika Zemla at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus Campus and STFC on why this campus is becoming a global quantum hub, and from our own Ian Pearson and Kirill Pyshkin on Quantum Exponential role in the ecosystem and the investment opportunity ahead.
🔊 What struck us most is the convergence happening right now between hardware maturity, real commercial use cases, and government commitment. The UK is not watching this revolution from the sidelines. It is building it and we saw that with last week’s investment announcement from the government.
For investors, the window to back transformative quantum companies at early valuations is open today. Yesterday was proof of how much is already built, proven, and ready to scale.

The UK just made a major announcement on quantum. £1bn+ in public funding and real-world deployment across healthcare, defence and security. For investors, the signal is clear; demand is being de-risked. The UK Government is accelerating commercial adoption. At Quantum Exponential, we see quantum moving from frontier science to investable reality and it is happening […]
